What are bio. retainers made of?

A bio-derived, plant-based polymer — independently tested for microplastic and BPA-derivative release, with results published by lot, BPA, BPS, BPF and phthalates. No other UK retainer brand has published equivalent testing.

Why is bio. the only retainer brand to publish microplastic testing?

Every retainer in the UK market is made from standard thermoplastic that has not been independently tested for microplastic shedding. bio. is the first to test ours and the first to publish the data.

How does the impression kit work?

Order online and your kit arrives next day with step-by-step instructions and a video walkthrough. It takes about 10 minutes at home. Post it back in the included pre-paid packaging. Custom retainers are delivered within 5 working days.

Why do I need to replace my retainer each year?

Teeth shift and materials age. An annual replacement is the standard of care, and the subscription keeps a fresh, tested set on your teeth without re-ordering.

Is this teledentistry?

No. Every case is managed by a registered UK clinician. Clean materials and proper supervision are part of the same product.

These terms govern your purchase of bio. products from Oravertis Ltd. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

Orders and payment

Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. Payment is taken securely at checkout via Stripe.
A one-off set is a single purchase. The annual subscription renews every 12 months until cancelled.
You can cancel a subscription at any time by emailing hello@getbiodental.co.uk before your next renewal date.

Custom-made products

Retainers are custom-made to your impressions. Because they are made to order and personalised, your statutory right to cancel may be limited once manufacture has begun — except where a product is faulty or not as described. Your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.

Clinical responsibility

bio. devices are provided under the oversight of a registered UK clinician. They are not a substitute for in-person dental care where that is clinically required. If you have an active dental health issue, see your dentist.

Delivery

We aim to deliver custom retainers within 5 working days of receiving usable impressions or scans. Timeframes are estimates, not guarantees.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Otherwise our liability is limited to the value of your order.
